Description: 

We will start with an optional dinner on Thursday evening.

 

On Friday we will have a full day of professional development, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., consisting of 5-6 sessions. Each session will be led by one or more of the attendees who is expert in the topic. 

 

The topics to be covered will be chosen based on the expertise and interests of the attendees. Potential topics include: growth strategy, innovation, post-merger integration, market landscape analysis, implementing shared services, using surveys in market research, leading a strategy off-site, organization redesign, lean operations, customer segmentation, big data. We expect that at least one of the sessions will be on "soft skills" such as negotiation, influencing, and active listening.

 

In addition to the content sessions, we will have a professional photographer on hand to take head shots of attendees in the Umbrex style, which is required of those wishing to join the Umbrex community. The cost is included in the conference fee, and attendees will receive the photo for their own use. 

 

On Friday late afternoon, some attendees may fly home. For those taking a flight later in the evening we will have dinner and drinks.

An invitation is required to attend. To request an invitation, email events@umbrex.com. Specify which event you are interested in and attach a resume or bio. We generally require that attendees have been running their own consulting practice for at least two years and that they have previous experience at a top tier consulting firm.
